The 5 Steps Framework is designed to make it easy to implement a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.

The free, interactive tool is easy to work through. It is split into 5 clear steps, which each have their own subsections. Guidance and resources are provided for each subsection.

The 5 steps are:

  1. Leading change
  2. Working together
  3. Understanding need
  4. Promoting wellbeing
  5. Supporting staff

This resource is designed for:

  • Use by school staff

The 5 Steps Framework can be used by anyone without creating an account, but if you do register you'll be able to access an action planning tool, which lets you track your progress.
