Beat helpline

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. They are a champion, guide and friend to anyone affected by eating disorders.

Eating disorders are isolating mental health illnesses, but you are never alone. Beat are there to support people who are worried about themselves, as well as others affected such as friends and family members. 

Beat's helplines are open 365 days a year, 9am-8pm Monday to Friday, and 4pm-8pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Their Helpline Advisors can be contacted by phone, email or one-to-one webchat.

They recognise the importance of peer support and daily online support groups are available to share experiences in a confidential, inclusive and welcoming space every weekday.

As well as running support services, Beat campaign for change, educate professionals through our training programmes and publish a range of information on their site to inform and educate people about eating disorders.
