Digital safety – Smartie the Penguin
The Adventures of Smartie the Penguin is a collection of three stories, differentiated by age, aimed at children aged 3-7. Themes covered include pop-ups and in app purchasing, inappropriate websites for older children, and cyberbullying. Each time something happens to Smartie, the children are encouraged to help him decide the best course of action and are taught a song to help them remember what to do! The message is very simple each time; if anything happens online that makes you feel worried, upset or uncomfortable then tell a trusted adult immediately.
