Explore LGBTQ+ issues and history with this resource pack from the Proud Trust.

This resource pack includes lots of different activities to explore historical LGBTQ+ figures and the history of the LGBTQ+ community.

LGBTQ+ history month took place in February 2021, but there are lots of activities in this resource that schools can use at any time of the year.

Using this resource

This resource is designed for:

  • young people aged 11 and up
  • use with small groups or whole classes

By the end of secondary school pupils should know:

· how stereotypes, in particular stereotypes based on sex, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability, can cause damage (e.g. how they might normalise non-consensual behaviour or encourage prejudice)

Diversity & Inclusion

KS3 pupils should have opportunity to:

· Investigate factors that influence individual and group identity

· Investigate ways in which individuals and groups express their identity
