Supporting pupils bereaved by suicide


This webpage provides practical guidance for helping children and young people who are bereaved by suicide.

This resource provides guidance for supporting children and young people bereaved by suicide to cope with their feelings, such as anger and guilt. There is also advice on feeling isolated through stigma and bullying.

• Investigate the influences on physical and emotional /mental personal health

• Develop understanding about, and strategies to manage, the effects of change on body, mind and behaviour

• reflect on, and respond to, their developing concept of self, including managing emotions and reactions to on-going life experiences
