The same but different: lesson plan for ages 4 to 5

This lesson plan, created for World Mental Health Day 2020, helps young children explore how our emotions connect us.

WMHD 4 To 5

The theme for this year’s World Mental Heath Day is ‘mental health for all’. This lesson plan helps young children learn more about feelings and emotions.

Using the book The Same but Different Too! by Karl Newson & Kate Hindle, and some simple activities, children will learn that we may often feel similar emotions, but we often may feel different to each other too.
