Primary

These classroom activities & lesson plans, which directly link to the PD&MU curriculum, get Year 6 children thinking about self-esteem, self-acceptance and acceptance of others.

Who Am I

As you work through this resource in the classroom, children will:

  • understand self-esteem, self-confidence and how they develop as individuals
  • develop self-awareness, self-respect and self-esteem
  • identify their current strengths and weaknesses
  • develop an insight into their potential and capabilities
  • identify and practice effective learning strategies

The resource is made up of six different classroom activities, with accompanying notes to help teachers deliver the activities in the classroom.

This resource forms part of a wider unit of work around PD&MU. You can find additional resources for Year 6 here.

This resource is designed for:

  • children aged 9 to 10
  • use with whole classes
