A guide for young people, sharing advice on what to do if someone comes out as LGBTQ+.

This guide explores some of the terminology and concepts associated with the LGBTQ+ community, before sharing suggestions and advice on how to react if someone comes out to you.

Using this resource

This resource is designed for:

  • Young people aged 11 to 13
  • Use by individual students

· how stereotypes, in particular stereotypes based on sex, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability, can cause damage (e.g. how they might normalise non-consensual behaviour or encourage prejudice)
