The article explores common barriers to engagement and offers realistic suggestions to help address them. It covers non-judgemental listening, inclusive language, clear communication, working with the wider community and supporting staff to manage challenging situations.
It promotes a proactive and whole-school or college approach to wellbeing, recognising that positive partnerships with parents and carers contribute to a stronger, more inclusive school culture.
